Pellerano & Herrera Creates First Alumni Program in Dominican Republic
Pellerano & Herrera announced the creation of the P&H Alumni Circle, which will be formally launched on May 10, during an inauguration event in the auditorium of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre & Maestra.
The P&H Alumni Circle will be formed by a group of over 400 Pellerano & Herrera alumni, who now lead their own law firms, head the legal departments of prestigious corporations and public sector entities, are dedicated to teaching full time or work in the Dominican judiciary system.
Ricardo Pellerano Paradas, managing partner of the firm, informed that during the inauguration of the P&H Alumni Circle, outstanding lawyers who have excelled in their legal practice will be awarded, "following the best of our legal tradition and our spirit of innovation".
The P&H Alumni Circle will distinguish legal professionals in the following categories: Private Practice, Corporate Counsel and Public Sector/Government. The awarded professionals will receive a masterpiece created by Dominican artist Carlos Despradel Bisonó, in recognition of their extraordinary trajectory in the area of law.
Pellerano Paradas explained that alumni programs are common in most prestigious US and London firms, and Pellerano & Herrera will be a pioneer in introducing this modern concept in the Dominican Republic.
He pointed out the alumni event and awards ceremony will be held annually and that its members will constitute a new force in the creation, sharing and invigoration of legal knowledge through channels that will be launched in the coming months.
“The P&H Alumni Circle shall contribute to the improvement and practice of law in the Dominican Republic to create a better environment for business and undertake actions of socially responsible advocacy.”
