TNS Sifo Prospera names Ellex top law firm in the Baltic region for second consecutive year

The leading international research company for the financial industry, TNS Sifo Prospera, released the results of its 2017 legal market research for the Baltic region. For the second year running, the Ellex circle of firms topped the rankings, emerging as the clear market leader for sophisticated clients looking for top-level legal services.
The in-depth research included interviews with 304 Baltic-based organisations and ranked law firms across a broad range of selection criteria based on client expectations: lawyer skills, quality of advice, project staffing, integrity and ethics, and personalised contact. Ellex maintained its position as the number one firm overall, while receiving the highest scores in client feedback for 2017. In addition, the Ellex circle of firms topped the survey in the M&A, Banking and Finance, Competition & EU, Intellectual Property, Energy and Government Relations areas. Overall, Ellex also achieved the highest rankings across a number of selection criteria, including strong reputation, lawyer skills, large project management, and ethics.
Compared to the 2016 research, three areas have risen in importance for clients, including firms’ “ability to handle large scale projects”, “quality across the Baltic region” and “international competence”. This is further evidence of the Baltics region emerging as an attractive investment destination with a transparent business environment and top-tier legal services.
