Beccar Varela appoints two new partners
Buenos Aires, 5th June 2017. On May 31st Beccar Varela promoted Doctors Juan Antonio Stupenengo and Guido H. Krolovetzky to partner, in recognition both of their talent and of the great contribution they have made to the firm in the areas of administrative and customs law respectively. According to Horacio E. Beccar Varela, managing partner of BV, the appointments mark "the beginning of the best stage of the careers of two professionals who, in addition to sharing the values of the firm, have always demonstrated a great capacity for work and creativity in everyday practice."
Juan Antonio Stupenengo joined the firm in 2004. He started his career at the Federal Administrative Court of Claims and at the Fiscal and Administrative Courts of Buenos Aires City. He focuses his practice on constitutional, administrative and regulatory law, constitutional and administrative process and judicial review. He also has extensive experience in contracting, administrative contracts, public-private partnerships and regulation of public services.
Juan Antonio received his law degree with honors from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (2001) and is a specialist in the area of Administrative Law and Public Administration (2007). He teaches administrative and regulatory law at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and at the Universidad Católica Argentina. He is professor in the postgraduate degree of the Universidad Nacional de La Matanza and attached professor at the Universidad Nacional de Tucumán. He is also professor in the School of National Lawyers and in the Specialization in State, Local and Federal Law’s Program of the City of Buenos Aires, and associate professor in the Specialization in Administrative Law of the Universidad de Belgrano and in the Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales. He is a member of the Administrative Law Association of Buenos Aires City and of the Professors Association of the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He is the author of “Judicial Execution of an Administrative Act” (Astrea, 2017).
Guido H. Krolovetzky joined the firm in 2008, where he leads the Customs Law Department. He focuses his practice on Customs Law related to domestic, regional and international laws and regulations regarding the sale of goods, specifically focused on GATT, World Trade Organization (WTO) World Customs Organization (WCO), MERCOSUR and ALADI.
Guido received his law degree from the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (2001) and his Customs Law postgraduate degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (2006). Before joining BV, he worked as in-house lawyer for MARUBA SCA (2001-2002), and was a senior lawyer in the Customs Law Department of Estudio O’Farrell (2002-2008). He is the author of numerous articles and publications about his specialty. He is an active participant, in representation of the firm, of the International Academy of Customs Law. He is a member of the Instituto de Estudios Aduaneros, the Asociación Argentina de Estudios Fiscales and the Argentine–Israeli Chamber of Commerce.
