Haynes and Boone London Office Expands Legal 500 2017 UK Recognition
Haynes and Boone CDG, LLP received recognition for its International Arbitration, Oil and Gas and Shipping practices in the 2017 United Kingdom edition of The Legal 500, published by Legalease.
Haynes and Boone was ranked among the recommended law firms in three of the areas in which the London office has built its reputation. Individual lawyers also were singled out in the publication: Senior Partner Simon Curtis was again noted as a leading practitioner in shipping and also recommended in the oil and gas section, and Partners William Cecil, James Brown, Andreas Dracoulis, Glenn Kangisser and Andreas Silcher all were recommended in their respective areas of expertise..
In specific comments, The Legal 500 UK said that Haynes and Boone's international arbitration practice has "impressive knowledge and expertise," and that the firm's oil and gas practice is "excellent in any case involving offshore oil and gas, drilling and ship and rig construction" and "has a powerful presence in the contentious and non-contentious space." The directory said the firm's shipping practice has "a good understanding of client needs" and is "very strong on transactional and contentious shipping mandates, with particular expertise in shipbuilding and conversion matters."
The firm's London office was created in September 2016 when U.S.-based Haynes and Boone, LLP merged with London-based Curtis Davis Garrard.
