#MeToo Survey Results Offer Attorney Insights on Sexual Harassment Issues in US Companies
As a founding member of the Employment Law Alliance, Dinsmore & Shohl LLP was part of a February ELA survey of U.S. employment attorneys regarding sexual harassment in the workplace. The results, which have just been released, provide perspective on how management-side attorneys see #MeToo and sexual harassment issues unfolding in the workplace based on their actual experiences in representing employers.
The ELA compiled 382 responses from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, and the data includes reflections based on attorney interactions with major employers in nearly every industry.
Michael Glassman, chair of Dinsmore’s employment practice group and its ELA representative, observed, “The results underscore the need for employers to take a close look at their own workplaces to evaluate whether there are any action steps they need to take to reduce their legal exposure to sexual harassment claims.”
