Dinsmore San Diego Adds Two Associates

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP has added Nicolas J. Echevestre and Ian G. Schuler to the firm’s San Diego office. They will practice out of the commercial litigation group.

Echevestre joins Dinsmore after over seven years at Cooley LLP. His experience includes, representing clients in litigation matters regarding federal securities class actions, alleged breaches of fiduciary duties, and license agreement disputes.

He received his J.D. from Columbia Law School and received his B.A. in history with a minor in legal studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Echevestre has received multiple professional honors, including the Outstanding Service Award from Legal Aid Society of San Diego. Most recently, he received the 2017 Casa Cornelia Law Center Pro Bono Publico Award.  Echevestre is a member of the American Bar Association corporate counsel publications subcommittee and serves on the Association of Business Trial Lawyers leader development committee. 

Schuler joins Dinsmore from Bowman and Brooke LLP, where he focused his practice on complex products liability litigation.  He has extensive trial experience, including arguing pretrial motions. Schuler received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law where he later returned to become an adjunct professor. He received his BSBA from Northeastern University.

Before law school, Schuler volunteered as a AmeriCorps service leader, with more than 3,500 hours of community service. He currently serves as an advisor for veterans through the Stripes to Bars charity. Stripes to Bars enables qualified veterans to earn Federal Aviation Administration certificates. He helps veterans transition from military to civilian life, while increasing the pilot population.
