Beccar Varela Strengthens its Compliance Department with New Appointment.

Buenos Aires, August 9th, 2018. Beccar Varela has incorporated Dr. Virginia Frangella, specialist in ethics and compliance, risk management and internal controls.
Prior to joining Beccar Varela, Virginia worked for over two decades in the United States and Europe, heading ethics and compliance teams in leading global companies, including Kimberly Clark, where she served as Europe, Middle East and Africa Compliance & Ethics Director; and Diageo, where she was Global Compliance & Ethics Director based in the UK, and Regional (Latin America) Compliance & Ethics and Internal Controls Manager. She also worked at ACCION International, where she held the position of General Counsel & Head of Compliance; and at State Street Bank, where she served as Assistant Vice-President.

Virginia obtained her Law degree at Universidad de Buenos Aires (1990). She completed postgraduate studies at the Boston University School of Law, including an LL.M. in American Law (1996) and an LL.M. in International Banking and Financial Law (1997). There she was awarded the A.J. Serino Outstanding Graduate Banking Law Student Prize. Virginia was a member of the Morin Center for banking and finance studies' Board of Advisors and a professor of Microfinance at the Boston University School of Law.
