Jason Jordan Awarded 2018 Hershell L. Barnes Ambassador Award
Haynes and Boone, LLP Associate Jason Jordan has received the Hershell L. Barnes Ambassador Award from the Texas Tech School of Law. He was recognized at the Texas Tech School of Law alumni reception during the annual State Bar of Texas meeting on June 21.
The award is given to an outstanding alumnus who has served as a goodwill ambassador through demonstrating dedication and fellowship to the school and community. It is named for the late Hershell Barnes, the first Texas Tech Law alumus to serve on the Texas Tech Law School Foundation board and a former Haynes and Boone partner.
Jordan volunteers for the Texas Tech School of Law Advocacy Program, serving as a guest judge for students preparing for competition. Additionally, Jordan serves as a mentor for students in the school’s Regional Externship Program, helping them to make connections in the Dallas area.
Jordan is an associate in the Appellate Practice Group at Haynes and Boone and draws upon his experience as a judicial clerk at the Texas Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit to develop arguments that will resonate with decision makers and to convey those arguments in a clear and persuasive manner. Jason also has a unique background that has instilled in him an appreciation for hard work and careful planning, which are key components to successfully resolving complex disputes.
Jordan has experience representing clients in all stages of complex litigation. He has prepared winning trial and appellate briefs on a variety of topics ranging from breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and tort claims to claims for trademark infringement. Jordan also has an active pro bono practice.
