Dinsmore Attorneys Selected to Ohio Women’s Bar Foundation Leadership Institute

October, 2018 - United States of America

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP’s Heidi Dorn and Alicia Stefanski were both selected as members of Ohio Women’s Bar Foundation Leadership Institute 2018 class.

The OWBF Leadership Institute helps emerging female leaders with knowledge and strategies on business development in order to excel in leadership roles.

“I’m very excited to be included in a class of such dynamic women in the legal profession throughout the state of Ohio,” stated Stefanski. “I’m looking forward to purposefully developing my personal leadership and communication styles in ways that will meaningfully impact my relationships with the firm, our clients and the community as whole.”

Stefanski is a partner in Dinsmore’s litigation group and boasts a diverse practice, handling everything from product liability and breach of warranty cases to commercial litigation matters, including non-solicit, breach of contract cases, and real property litigation. She also assists business clients in defending tort actions, including premises liability, negligence and wrongful death claims. She has worked with a variety of clients, from internationally known vehicle manufacturers, to residential and commercial loan servicers and from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Stefanski earned her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

Dorn hopes to gain further development of leadership skills “by delving into topics such as rainmaking, executive coaching, branding, career strategy, as well as effective communication techniques.  I also hope to better know and learn from the incredible group of top Ohio women lawyers that I am honored to be a part of,” said Dorn.

Dorn is a member of Dinsmore’s litigation practice and focuses on assisting lawyers with ethics issues, including providing confidential ethics consultations and opinions and comprehensive representation in disciplinary actions and bar admission matters. She also represents health care clients in administrative hearings and appeals and other regulatory matters. As a former assistant attorney general, Dorn represented the State Medical Board of Ohio and other licensing agencies in a wide variety of disciplinary and licensure issues.
