John D. Scarito Joins Dinsmore’s Pittsburgh Office

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is pleased to announce the addition of John D. Scarito as an associate to the firm’s Pittsburgh office. Scarito will practice out of the IP Opinion and Prosecution Practice Group as a registered patent attorney.
Scarito comes to Dinsmore from K&L Gates LLP. Prior to that Scarito served as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Scarito leverages over eleven years of prosecution experience to efficiently and effectively serve his current clients.
Scarito generally prosecutes patent applications in the mechanical, electromechanical, and business method art units. Scarito also assists clients with the management and development of strategic patent portfolios.
Scarito received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Akron School of Law. Mr. Scarito also received his M.B.A. in Management from the University of Akron College of Business Administration and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, summa cum laude, from the University of Akron College of Engineering.
