Shoosmiths Advises Client whg on Multi-Million Pound West Midlands Housing Development
The Birmingham-based real estate team at UK law firm Shoosmiths has advised its long-standing client whg on its multi-million pound 400-home development in Walsall.
The project, which will be delivered alongside project partner Keepmoat Homes, will consist of 407 homes in the Goscote area of Walsall. 102 of these homes will be for social rent with a further 24 for affordable rent. Work is expected to start later this year.
Partner Bhavesh Amlani, who leads the Midland’s housing development, regeneration and social housing real estate team, led on the advice, alongside senior associates Ben Smith and Andrew Outram.

The properties that will be built on site will be a mixture of two, three and four bedroom houses as well as a one and two bed bungalows.
The plans were approved by Walsall Council on November 29, 2018.
