Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen (NNDKP) received the distinction “Intellectual Property Firm of the Year in Romania” at the Global IP Awards inaugural gala organized by the international publications IAM and WTR in London on January 29, 2019.

Ana-Maria Baciu, partner and head of the firm’s IP practice, accepted the award on behalf of NNDKP and stated: “We are very pleased to win this award for Romania from the very first edition of this gala. This reinforces once again the constant efforts of our team and constitutes a recognition of the clients’ trust and confidence in our skills. This award gives us the opportunity to reiterate our promise to you: we will continue to show the same dedication and consistency in our performance and provide our clients with solutions and strategies at the highest standards.”

Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) and World Trademark Review (WTR) are two of the most prestigious international publications in the intellectual property field. IAM publishes the annual IAM Patent 1000 guide, which lists by jurisdiction the top firms specialized in the patent field, while WTR publishes the annual guide WTR 1000, which ranks by jurisdiction the top firms specialized in the trademark field.

In the rankings published in 2018 by the two publications, in the IAM Patent 1000 guide, NNDKP is a Recommended firm for litigation, prosecution and transactions and WTR 1000 has included NNDKP in the Gold Band, being the only law firm awarded this distinction for both i) enforcement and litigation and for ii) prosecution and strategy.

NNDKP Intellectual Property’s arm (NNDKP IP) was established in 2003, delivering in-depth IP knowledge more commonly associated with boutique IP firms, as well as integrated services that are specific to law firms.

NNDKP IP has a team comprised of three partners, Ana-Maria Baciu, head of the practice, Cosmina Simion and Andreea Bende (all three partners being also qualified as intellectual property counsellors) as well as eight lawyers and intellectual property counsellors.
