David West Named a Legal Influencer by Lexology
Dykema is proud to announce that David West, San Antonio-based Member in Dykema’s Financial Services Litigation Practice Group, has earned a Lexology Content Marketing Award for Q1 2019. Lexology is specifically recognizing West as “Legal Influencer for Private Client – US” because of the success and influence of his article, “Accessing and Protecting Digital Assets: Fiduciary Duties in a Digital World,” which was published on Dykema’s NextGen Financial Services Report blog and shared on Lexology’s platform.
According to Lexology, which is one of the leading publishers of legal news and information with more than 300,000 readers, it identifies winners using a bespoke automated process which analyses Lexology data without editorial input. The process takes into account reads of and engagement with the content based on the LexScore. Winners will be provided with a digital badge to be used on their social media, website and emails, and will have the prestigious badge displayed on their Lexology firm hub or author page.
IN his practice, West has served as a trusted advisor to financial institutions, trust departments, businesses, families and nonprofits for more than 30 years. He handles banking disputes involving the UCC, data privacy, check fraud, and officer and director liability; trust and probate litigation; and business disputes involving fiduciary liability, contracts, business torts, real estate and insurance issues. West has represented clients in approximately 50 jury and non-jury trials and arbitrations in federal and state court and counsels clients on internal policies and practices and litigation avoidance.
