Dykema’s San Antonio Office Adds Corporate Finance Attorney Denise M. Drake
Dykema, a leading national law firm, today announced the addition of Denise M. Drake to its Corporate Finance Practice Group as a senior counsel in the firm’s San Antonio office. Drake joins Dykema after more than seven years practicing in-house with Marathon Petroleum Corporation (f/k/a Tesoro/Andeavor), most recently, as Associate Managing Counsel. Prior to that, she was an Associate with Cox Smith Matthews from 2010-2012—before the firm’s combination with Dykema in 2015.
Drake has experience managing corporate, refining, logistics, and real estate matters. Her background also includes PMPA experience (both wholesale and direct supply), as well as negotiating various petroleum marketing contracts. She also has experience representing developers, lenders, landlords and tenants in complex real estate and finance transactions.
“We are thrilled that Denise is back with the firm,” said Jeff Gifford, San Antonio-based co-Leader of Dykema’s Corporate Finance Practice Group. “Her deep knowledge of and experience handling transactional matters, especially in the energy industry, will surely be a great benefit for Dykema and its clients.”
Drake received her J.D., cum laude, from St. Mary’s University School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science and Corporate Communications, cum laude, from Trinity University.
