Hanson Bridgett Elevates Two Attorneys to Partnership, Three Promoted to Senior Counsel

January 2, 2018 (SAN FRANCISCO, CA) – Hanson Bridgett is pleased to announce the elevation of Nancy Hilu and Shannon Nessier to partnership. Additionally, the firm has promoted Samir Abdelnour, Rachael Blucher and Angela Clements to Senior Counsel. The promotions became effective on January 1, 2018.

Nancy Hilu first joined Hanson Bridgett in 2008 as an Associate in the Employee Benefits Group. She advises and represents private and public companies, tax-exempt organizations and governmental entities on all aspects of employee benefits and executive compensation. She counsels clients on the design, implementation, and continued legal and regulatory compliance of their retirement plans and other benefit programs. Nancy also has extensive experience representing clients on matters before the Internal Revenue Service.

Shannon Nessier began her career at Hanson Bridgett in 2010 as an Associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group. She focuses her practice on the defense of product manufacturers, suppliers, retailers and premise owners in personal injury and defective product/premise litigation, as well as toxic tort matters. In addition, Shannon has provided advice and litigation defense on matters involving product and food labeling claims, Organic labeling issues under COPA, and Proposition 65 claims.

Samir Abdelnour joined Hanson Bridgett in 2015 as an Associate in the Environmental & Natural Resources Group. He advises and represents clients in regulatory environmental enforcement actions, remediation of contaminated properties, land use entitlement and permit proceedings, litigation over water rights, and product labeling.

Rachael Blucher began her career at Hanson Bridgett in 2012 as an Associate in the Health Care and Senior Housing and Care Group. She advises clients on regulatory compliance, federal and state fraud and abuse laws, licensure, Medicare and Medi-Cal reimbursement and certification, HIPAA compliance, corporate governance, contract drafting and business structuring.

Angela Clements joined Hanson Bridgett in 2011 as an Associate in the Labor & Employment Group. She represents private and public employers in litigation and counseling matters involving all aspects of employment law, including issues such as wrongful termination, wage and hour claims, harassment investigations, management of leaves of absence and reasonable accommodation, and other personnel issues. Angela also represents public agencies in disciplinary actions and grievances, unfair labor practice charges, and other collective bargaining agreement disputes.
