Hanson Bridgett Recertifies as B Corporation for Fifth Consecutive Term
June 23, 2017 (SAN FRANCISCO, CA) – Hanson Bridgett is pleased to announce that the firm has been recertified as a B Corporation for the fifth consecutive term. With this certification, Hanson Bridgett has reconfirmed its commitment to diversity, charitable giving, pro bono legal work and hands-on service.
“Our continued certification demonstrates our pledge to challenge ourselves to the rigorous and meaningful assessment required to maintain B Corp status so that we can create a positive impact on our community,” said Managing Partner Andrew Giacomini. “We at Hanson Bridgett place a strong value on sustainability and with the B Corp recertification, it is clearly reflected in our business practices and goals.”
Partner and Founder of the firm’s sustainable business and impact investing practice Jonathan Storper adds, “I am incredibly proud to have chaired the legal working group which drafted and advocated for benefit corporation legislation in California. And it is this very same legislation that has allowed many other businesses to hold themselves to a higher standard of accountability and transparency in their mission to do business while also creating a material positive impact on society and the environment.”
As the first law firm to become a certified B Corp, Hanson Bridgett has remained committed to operating in a sustainable manner since 2007.
