Mike Moye Named General Counsel for Alameda Health System


April 22, 2016 (SAN FRANCISCO, CA) — Hanson Bridgett LLP today congratulates Mike D. Moye, head of the firm’s Labor and Employment Section, on his appointment as General Counsel for Alameda Health System.

In his new position, effective April 20, Mike will report to the Alameda Health System CEO and will serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. As General Counsel, Mike will oversee all legal services, advise on healthcare, regulatory, strategic business planning, and complex labor and employment matters, and oversee collaboration with outside counsel.

While at Hanson Bridgett, Mike focused his practice on traditional and employment specialties, established himself as an independent investigator trusted by public and private organizations to handle sensitive fact-finding and investigative matters. He also provided counseling and extensive training for employers in various areas such as state and federal labor/employment laws, breach of contract, and negotiation/interpretation of collective bargaining agreements.

Mike is on the Board of Directors of the Alameda County Community Food Bank and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Executive Committee of the Bar Association of San Francisco, Labor and Employment Law Section. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1984 and his B.S., from the United States Military Academy in 1978.

Jahmal Davis, who joined Hanson Bridgett in 2004 and was elevated to partner in 2008, will take the helm of the firm’s L&E section. Jahmal currently serves as the head of the firm's Recruiting Committee. Jahmal, whose practice focuses on representing public and private employers in state and federal employment litigation, has significant experience providing preventative advice to clients and conducting internal investigations of employment-related disputes.
