WSG member firm, Shoosmiths LLP, hosted a 60-minute webinar on Business leaders: Liquidity in These Uncertain Times.
The COVID-19 crisis continues to affect all our businesses, in ways that we never thought possible. At a time where the overriding message is to "pull together" as a nation, companies are eager to do all they can to support the national effort to beat this pandemic.
Ongoing funding and liquidity is critical to the survival of ALL businesses. The crisis is causing pressure on liquidity unlike anything we have seen before. No Corporates, or Banks will have run the sensitivities required to portray the situation in which we currently find ourselves. The UK lending market has reacted promptly to provide support and the Government is working closely alongside them. Clarity on the support available from the Banks and other finance providers though traditional facilities or Government supported facilities is evolving every day. As a firm, Shoosmiths LLP has well established relationships with the Lenders and we have maintained close contact over the last few weeks to understand how they are working with their clients.
We looked at sharing best practice and answered questions about how the UK finance providers are supporting their clients, as well as our views on the various Government support schemes available.
