Data protection issues have been a hot topic for a long time. Notwithstanding the obvious challenges of 2020, last year and beginning of 2021 were full of novelties in the area of personal data protection and privacy. Meanwhile, alongside such novelties key data protection risks remain pressing.
In light of this, we have decided to launch a webinar devoted to Russian data protection issues.
During the webinar ALRUD data protection and cybersecurity team is going to discuss the results of 2020 along with the first months of 2021. Among other topics, we would like to discuss the following:
- the most pressing risks associated with the processing of personal data as well as the positions of the regulator
- increased penalties for violations of the personal data laws and measures aimed at minimization of the associated risks
- changing approaches to the processing of publicly available data in legislation and law enforcement practice
