Green Recovery: The Green Road - Investing in Electric Vehicle Infrastructure
The UK Government's
Energy White Paper sets out a series of historic, cross-sector commitments designed to power the UK’s transition to a net zero future.
Join our expert panel on
Wednesday 18 August 2021 for the next event in our series, The Shift to Net Zero: From Ambition to Action. In this session we will discuss how new models are required to fund public electric vehicle (EV) charge points in Scotland in order to accelerate the EV transition.
Held in association with the Global Ethical Finance Initiative as part of its
Path to COP26 campaign, The green road - investing in electric vehicle infrastructure will be chaired by
Liz McRobb, Partner in our Infrastructure division. Liz will be joined by a panel of leading experts including
Graeme Campbell, EV Infrastructure Transition Lead from the Low Carbon Economy Directorate at Transport Scotland and
Andrew Watson, Associate Director, Net Zero Transport at Scottish Futures Trust, and another guest speaker to be announced.
Out panel will discuss:
- the current model for funding public EV charging infrastructure;
- possible future models to encourage private investment in public network ownership; and
- what government intervention may be helpful in implementing these new models.
