April specializes in labor and employment law. Her experience includes litigation, arbitration and mediation related to a wide range of claims, including discrimination, sexual harassment, and wage and hour. She is well versed in advanced motion practice including summary judgment motions, ex parte motions, motions to compel arbitration and discovery motions. April was recently successful in resolving a race and age discrimination lawsuit for nominal value based on the tentative ruling of a summary judgment motion she prepared. Her work also includes federal, state and administrative proceedings as well as advice under the California Public Records Act. April also performs workplace investigations, including investigation of sexual harassment and hostile work environment complaints, and classification audits. April has substantial experience working with Spanish-speaking populations in all aspects of the practice of law, in particular, with the Hispanic grocery industry.
