Professional Career
Her practice focuses on civil litigation, especially civil, professional and hospital liability. In particular, she is involved in the defence in several class action cases.
In this capacity, she assists and advises the firm’s clients in dispute resolution and represents them before the lower courts and on appeal.
Ms. Fournier teaches in the École du Barreau du Québec’s technical clinic on representations in medical liability cases. She is also a member of the executive of the health section of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA-Quebec).
Ms. Fournier joined Lavery in 2018, after articling with the firm. She holds a bachelor’s degree in cooperative law from the Université de Sherbrooke. While in law school, Ms. Fournier had the opportunity to complete two internships with major financial institutions and one internship with a law firm specializing in civil litigation.
