Profile
Cortlin Bond is an associate in the Labor & Employment and Litigation practice groups. She assists clients with a variety of labor and employment matters, including workplace investigations, the defense of federal employment claims, and the defense of employment claims predicated on state law tort and contract theories. In addition to handling employment matters, Cortlin represents school boards with issues that arise in their operations and represents healthcare providers with legal issues that arise from the daily operation of healthcare facilities.
Prior to law school, Cortlin worked at the Department of Human Resources as a Child Abuse and Neglect Investigator. In her role at DHR, Cortlin worked closely with community partners to identify familial needs and to provide resources to families. When necessary, Cortlin participated in dependency hearings in juvenile court by reporting investigative findings related to guardianship and the safety of children.
Cortlin received her J.D. (cum laude) from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she served as production editor of the Alabama Law Review. Cortlin earned a B.A. (magna cum laude) in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Alabama.
