Defending employers at all levels of litigation related to Federal Black Lung claims

Providing advice and training to third-party administrators, insurance companies and self-insured employers regarding West Virginia workers’ compensation law, claims administration and litigation

Coordinating defense of mass filings of workers’ compensation occupational disease claims related to asbestos exposure filed with the Ohio Industrial Commission

Drafting legislation for workers’ compensation reform before the West Virginia Legislature in 2003

Defending class action product liability and toxic tort lawsuits

Serving as defense liaison counsel in asbestos litigation in both a national counsel and local counsel capacity
