Profile

Shane’s practice focuses on labor and employment law. His background as a law clerk in Los Angeles gives him a distinct perspective on what judges and court staff attorneys look for when analyzing motions filed on behalf of our clients.

Shane focuses on preparing law and motion filings for our corporate clients in California state and federal courts in a variety of labor and employment matters. His experience includes workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation cases under California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA); representative wage and hour actions under California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA); and discrimination cases brought pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the California Unruh Civil Rights Act, including website accessibility lawsuits.

Through his previous work as a career law clerk for an unlimited civil department at the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Shane has a unique perspective on the judges in the superior court at all stages of litigation from the pleadings stage through trial. Shane drafted judicial recommendations on, e.g., demurrers, discovery motions, motions to compel arbitration, motions for summary judgment, motions in limine, and settlement matters.

Before entering the field of civil litigation, Shane was an international human rights lawyer, with experience working at international criminal tribunals in The Hague, Netherlands and a human rights NGO in Washington, DC. He also has prior experience working in criminal appeals
