Stephanie Bernard TEP is counsel in the trusts and private wealth team at Carey Olsen Bermuda.
Stephanie has extensive and in-depth experience advising individuals, fiduciaries and companies on all aspects of trust law including international and local estate planning arrangements, wealth management structures, variation of trusts and private trust companies, as well as international and local pensions. Stephanie also advises on regulatory issues impacting on trustees and pension plans.
Since 2017 Stephanie has been recognised in the Legal 500 Caribbean directory.

Professional Career
Prior to joining Carey Olsen, Stephanie practiced with Conyers Dill & Pearman in Bermuda and before that was legal counsel with Private Client Services, HSBC Bank Bermuda.
Stephanie was first admitted as a barrister-at-law with the Law Society of Ontario and solicitor of the Court of Appeal for Ontario, Canada before being admitted as a barrister and attorney of the Supreme Court of Bermuda in 2003.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor, Canada and she is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Stephanie co-authored the Bermuda chapter of The World Trust Survey (Oxford University Press).
