Profile
Stephen D. Sayre is a Member of the Corporate Finance Group and Co-Leader of the Mergers & Acquisitions sub-practice group. His Mergers & Acquisitions practice focuses on lower middle-market transactions and below are representative M&A transactions from 2018:
- Represented Tama Plastic Industry in its acquisition of certain assets of Great Lakes Polymers, LLC
- Represented Praetorian Protective Services in the sale of its security alarm business to a national security alarm aggregator
- Represented Presque Isle Electric & Gas Cooperative in its acquisition of Aurora Gas Company
- Represented PMA Financial Network in its sale to Estancia Capital Partners
Steve's practice focuses on companies in the technology, security alarm and pharmaceutical industries, including clients in Asia, Europe, the United Kingdom and Australia.
Steve also assists larger companies with strategic commercial transactions such as joint ventures, development agreements and licensing agreements.
Steve also acts as outside general counsel for companies that do not have inside counsel, managing commercial litigation, employment and tax matters.
Steve began his legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary L. Cooper, United States District Court Judge for the District of New Jersey.
Prior to law school, Steve worked as a Certified Public Accountant for Ernst & Whinney and in private industry in the areas of auditing and accounting.
