Profile

Tina Brøgger Sørensen is a partner in our Employment and Labour Law team and specialises in employment and labour law and data protection law. Tina has extensive experience in advising employers on employment law, including in cases involving discrimination, business transfers, IPOs, incentive programmes, redundancies in connection with restructuring, efficiency improvements and business closures, as well as senior management issues. She also has experience with regard to employment and personal data law aspects in connection with investigations. She represents business clients before the Danish Board of Equal Treatment and has been an adviser in several cases of general public importance, one of which was referred to the Court of Justice of the European Union.

In addition, Tina has extensive experience in advising on personal data law. Tina provides advice on personal data issues in general, including drafting and implementation of data protection documents, assessment of obligations under the GDPR, for instance in relation to impact assessments, documents in relation to the transfer of personal data to third countries, etc, advice on personal data breaches and assistance in all communication with the Danish Data Protection Agency and on disputes.

Tina is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) and has been an IAPP-approved official instructor of CIPP/E training courses for several years.

Tina is an experienced speaker at both national and international conferences and also lectures on matters relating to employment law and data protection law.

Tina has produced a large number of podcasts and articles and newsletters on data protection law issues and the relationship between employment rules and data protection law.

Tina edited the book "Compliance for praktikere" (English: Compliance for practitioners) published by Djøf (2021), and authored the chapters on data protection law, whistleblower schemes and data ethics. She is also co-author of the book "Whistleblowerloven med kommentarer" (English: The commented Whistleblower Act) (Djøf Publishing, 2022).
