Profile

Dan is an associate on the firm’s litigation team. Dan assists clients in a broad range of commercial litigation disputes, including environmental, product liability, premises liability, breach of contract and fiduciary duty, insurance coverage and indemnification claims.

Prior to joining the firm, Dan worked for a boutique litigation firm in Atlanta, representing clients in a broad range of complex litigation matters. During law school, Dan completed externships for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the DeKalb District Attorney.

Relevant Experience

  • Drafted preliminary motions and cross-summary judgment briefing on contract interpretation issues in defense and indemnification claim on behalf of a Fortune 50 retailer.
  • Advised international chemicals manufacturer on viability of $950 thousand over-billing claim.
  • As indemnifaction counsel, advised national manufacturer of cleaning products and Fortune 50 retailer in products liability and negligence action.
  • Drafted standing argument resulting in dismissal of potential multi-million dollar Clean Air Act class action.
  • Drafted motions for summary judgment for Fortune 500 restaurant company in premises liability disputes.
  • Represented real-estate investor in business dissolution dispute.
  • Assisted with acquisition of over 150 miles of utility easements through purchase and condemnation.
  • Assisted with claims analysis for data breach class action.
  • Litigated before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in actions under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
  • Represented clients in Copyright Infringement and Trademark Counterfeiting actions.
  • Represented clients in collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
  • Represented clients in actions under Title VII, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Georgia Whistleblower Act.
  • Courtroom appearances include four jury trials as second chair and four first chair appearances arguing case dispositive motions to suppress.
