Dan joined Shoosmiths in September 2021 as an associate in Shoosmiths' Manchester corporate team and advises on all areas of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity transactions, investments, shareholders' agreements and articles of association, group simplifications/reorganisations and general corporate advisory matters across a wide range of sectors and jurisdictions.

Recent transactional experience includes:

• advising Five Arrows, the alternative investment arm of Rothschild & Co, on its acquisition of Rimes – a leading provider of EDM (enterprise data management) as a service and investment platform solution across the UK, Ireland, France, Cyprus, Canada, the US, Philippines, Hong Kong, China, Singapore and Australia;

• acting for a leading UK-based premium private schools operator on its raise of growth capital from a well established global investment firm to support further growth across the UK and Europe;

• acting both sell-side (for both individual and corporate sellers) and buy-side on a significant number of share and asset disposals and acquisitions across a range of jurisdictions and sectors such as education, energy, healthcare, professional services, real estate, retail and technology;

• acting for a leading UK specialist real estate investment management company on a number of high value disposals of international target companies;

• carrying out numerous corporate reorganisations to simplify group structures involving private companies limited by shares, private companies limited by guarantee and charitable incorporated organisations; and

• IPO experience – primarily assisting private limited companies on the conversion to public and ultimate admission to the public market.
