Ms. Dzana is a partner and co-head of both the Employment Law Department and the Competition Law Department at the firm, bringing over 19 years of extensive legal practice. She provides ongoing legal counsel to large multinational corporations operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina, specialising in employment law, competition law, and insurance law. Additionally, Ms. Dzana possesses considerable expertise in the establishment and registration of both domestic and international non-governmental organisations, i.e. their local offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the realm of employment law, Ms. Dzana advises clients on a broad spectrum of issues, with a particular focus on management contracts, internal workplace policies, and the recruitment process for both foreign and domestic employees. Her services encompass comprehensive legal consultations, the preparation of various employment-related documentation—including materials pertinent to restructuring, termination, and dismissal processes—and effective representation in labour disputes before labour inspections and all relevant courts in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
With more than 19 years of experience in competition and antitrust law, Ms. Dzana provides expert guidance to both foreign and domestic companies across diverse sectors, including industrial, commercial, and service industries. She advises clients on a range of antitrust and competition matters from a local legal perspective, covering topics such as merger and acquisition control, licensing and distribution agreements, restrictive practices, abuse of market dominance, cartel investigations, and related claims for damages. Ms. Dzana is particularly noted for her successful representation of clients in competition disputes before the local antitrust authority and courts, particularly in cases involving market power abuse and the conclusion of agreements that restrict or distort local market competition. Additionally, she specialises in vertical distribution within various industries, as well as general distribution networks. Ms. Dzana also organises "Dawn Raid" seminars and develops procedures for managing surprise onsite inspections by the Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Furthermore, Ms. Dzana has extensive experience in providing corporate services throughout the registration and post-registration processes for domestic and international NGOs. Her services include registration maintenance, guidance on statutory obligations, preparation of employment and labour documentation for both domestic and foreign employees, and assistance with operational matters following registration.
