Profile
Ellen’s practice focuses on labor and employment law.
Ellen advises and defends employers on a variety of labor and employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination. She also helps employers comply with federal and state labor and employment laws relating to their workplace policies and procedures.
During law school, Ellen served as an intern in the Office of the Chairman at the Federal Labor Relations Authority.
Relevant Experience
- Defends employers in administrative charges before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and comparable state agencies.
- Counsels employers on compliance with federal laws, including Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act and Fair Labor Standard Act, as well as state laws.
- Reviews employee handbooks, policies and related materials.
- Defends employers in class and collective action lawsuits involving wage and hour claims.
