Emily is an Associate in our corporate department based in the Leeds office, advising on all aspects of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity transactions, joint ventures, shareholders' agreements and general corporate advisory mandates. 

Emily completed her degree in Law at Newcastle University and LPC at the University of Law in Leeds. Emily joined Shoosmiths as a newly qualified Associate in September 2023. 

Recent transactions include:

• advising Hela Brands Limited, a company registered in Mauritius and a subsidiary of a Sri Lankan listed company, Hela Apparel Holdings Plc, on its acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Focus Brands Limited from JD Sports Fashion Plc; and 

• advising Gresham House Ventures on a venture capital investment round into Ozone Financial Technology Limited, a UK based Fintech company.
