Eva Margrét Ævarsdóttir is a highly experienced corporate advisor having worked with Icelandic and international clients throughout her career. She advises clients amongst other on corporate and commercial issues, EU law, employment law and corporate governance. She has worked on numerous financing projects with many of Europe’s leading financial institutions and law firms, both in her role as an external legal advisor and in-house legal counsel.

Over the years Eva Margret has systematically built knowledge on a broad range of sustainability matters alongside practising law. She has gained experience working with clients on various environmental, social and governance projects and helped shaping their sustainability work in their business and projects. In an ever-evolving regulatory environment, she advises clients in preparing for the implementation of new EU legislation. She has further advised on the drafting of sustainability policies, including on climate change and human rights, and the implementation of policies, due diligence and corporate reporting. She has advised on the preparation for and launch of sustainable finance products, including green bonds and green and sustainability linked loans, tapping into her experience from financing and sustainability projects. Further, she has given numerous lectures on different sustainability topics and EU legislation.
