Professional Career

Significant Accomplishments
Syndicated loan to AES in El Salvador. BLP has advised Banca de Inversión Bancolombia S.A., Banco Agrícola, S.A., and other local and foreign banks on a syndicated loan for up to $348 million to the AES group. 
BLP advised Apollo Global Management in Central America. BLP advised Apollo group through Paul Weiss and Morgan Lewis on the potential acquisition of Millicom in Central America. BLP´s work consisted of undertaking regulatory due diligence and assessment of the regulatory and antitrust filings, as well as the revision of labor contingencies. 
BLP is advising Starlink (subsidiary of Space X) on its establishment in El Salvador. BLP is assisting in the corporate transformation of the local vehicle incorporated by Starlink, the obtention of the applicable telecom licenses and concessions to begin operation in the local market, the compliance with local consumer protection law, and Starlink’s participation in a procurement process with the Salvadoran government to provide services.
