Profile

Nick’s practice focuses on labor and employment law.

He represents employers in a variety of labor and employment disputes in both state and federal courts. Nick has been involved in single plaintiff as well as class action defense work.

On the employment side, Nick has handled dozens of charges brought before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission including allegations of sexual harassment, race discrimination, and retaliation. On the traditional labor side, he has represented employers in a broad range of claims brought before the National Labor Relations Board. Nick also advises clients on various labor issues such as strikes, lockouts, and potentially unfair labor practices.

Prior to joining the firm, Nick clerked for the Miami-Dade County Attorney’s Office and served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Alan S. Gold, United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Nick has also worked as a lecturer of business law at the University of Miami School of Business Administration where he conducted research and published on issues relating to labor and employment law.

Nick graduated top-ten from the Florida International University College of Law. During his time in law school, he received six book awards including those for employment law and employment discrimination. He was also an active member of FIU’s moot court team where he was awarded best orator in the final round of a competition judged by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito.

  • Conducted dozens of investigations into employee allegations of collective bargaining violations, unfair labor practices, and discrimination
  • Drafted a wide variety of motions and written discovery in state and federal courts
  • Assisted in D.C. Circuit appeal relating to union elections
  • Argued substantive and procedural motions in state and federal courts
