Profile
My civil experience has involved me litigating cases involving banking/corporate fraud (see HSBC Finance vs TCY Motors Sdn Bhd (CA) Civil Appeal No. 2 of 2002), partnership disputes, defamation, personal injury, land disputes and a range of interlocutory civil applications like injunctions and discovery.
I have acted on behalf of banks in all manner of banking litigation from simple bad debts to orders for sale.
I have acted for defendants in all forms of criminal cases in all courts both in Malaysia and Brunei. I was involved in the corruption trial of the ex Minister of Development in Brunei and have successfully gained acquittals in the High Court of Malaya and recently successfully overturned a conviction in the Court of Appeal in Brunei in cases involving capital punishment for drug trafficking. I have very recently successfully argued the granting of bail to a pregnant woman facing a capital case.
