The feasibility study will be conducted between Talauk Nyaung Wine village and Wekali village of Mudon Township in Mawlamyine district.

According to the Tender Acceptance and Scrutiny Committee, tender application forms can be purchased from 25 May 2022 to 3 June 2022. The forms are available during office hours at the Civil Engineering Department at the head office of the Myanmar Port Authority building at 10 Pan Soe Tan Road, Yangon.

Bids  must be submitted by 1pm on 9 June 2022 at Meeting Hall (1) at the head office of the Myanmar Port Authority and tender will be open at 1pm on 10 June 2022 at the same venue.

The prospective port terminal is aimed at strengthening the urban development of Mawlamyine district. Another objective is the economic revitalization of the region by connecting it to major shipping lanes, which will boost the import and export of goods, particularly to and from the Middle East and Africa.
