It implies that from now on, it is mandatory for all institutions, public bodies, private companies, workplaces or study places of any kind, to have at least half of their personnel (50%) trained on Basic Cardiac Resuscitation, whether or not it is mandatory for them to count with an AED.
Who can conduct such courses of BCR?
The BCR courses must be conducted by training institutes certified by the National Resuscitation Council (NRC), which is part of the Ministry of Public Health.
Which characteristics shall have the BCR courses?
The BCR courses must have a minimum duration of 3 hours with a theory exposition of 45 minutes (optional) and a practice exposition of 2 hours, with a student/instructor ratio of eight to one, as a maximum. Those who approve the course will be granted a certificate, which will be valid for 2 years.
