Ramos contributed the Philippine chapter of Getting the Deal Through: Aviation Finance & Leasing 2017. The chapter addressed pivotal questions about air law and aviation financing and leasing. The scope and rules and regulations of owning, leasing, securing, financing and operating an aircraft were also discussed.

Imelda A. Manguiat specializes in foreign investments, mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure projects and government contracts. Ms. Manguiat has 25 years of experience in foreign investments, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions across various industry sectors, including telecommunications, real property development and the manufacturing sectors.

 

Carina C. Laforteza is part of the team that acts for foreign owners, lessors and financial institutions as well as for some foreign airlines. Her aviation practice covers a wide and diverse range of projects: (i) lease (both financing and operating), (ii) financing (for new buildings and pre-owned aircraft), (iii) registration and deregistration of aircraft, (iv) security filings with the CAAP, and (v) regulatory coordination, in addition to applications with and hearings before the CAB or the CAAP.

 

Bhong Paulo A. Macasaet’s areas of practice include mergers, acquisitions, aviation, and banking and finance. He has experience in assisting clients in various and numerous aviation transactions, including aircraft and engine leases, aircraft financing and refinancing. His experience includes reviewing and drafting of transaction documentations involving Philippine-registered aircrafts, providing advice on Philippine law formalities and registration requirements for security arrangements on aircrafts, and assisting clients on regulatory matters involving aircrafts operated in the Philippines.

 

Maricar G. Ramos was part of the team that counseled BBAM for the sale and leaseback of three new aircraft (msn 1467, 1475 and 1482) operated by the national flag carrier, Philippine Airlines, Inc. (PAL).Aside from her aviation practice, she handles IP protection and enforcement cases as well as advises clients on various aspects of Intellectual Property law.
